FECZ is a joint venture entity owned in equal shares by NOIC and Triangle Limited. Its mandate is the production and trading of anhydrous ethanol for mandatory blending purposes.
BackgroundFECZ
- The Fuel Ethanol Company of Zimbabwe (FECZ) is a joint venture between Triangle Limited and NOIC Pvt Limited formed with the mandate to produce ethanol for blending Petrol to reduce the fuel importation bill. Ethanol is produced in Triangle and distributed nationwide through the NOIC depots.
- The goal of the Government of Zimbabwe is to make petrol more affordable by blending with the locally produced ethanol.
- In addition, the Government supports the global initiative towards the use of renewable energy to reduce the carbon footprint.
NOIC is in the business of pipeline transportation of petroleum products as well as storage and handling in the Company’s depots.
