NOIC is fully committed to the health and safety of its employees, clients and general public.  The company is also congnisant to provide a safe working environment. We endeavor to achieve this through:

  1. Alignment of all processes to ZWS ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 9001:2015 standards, intergrated into Business Management System
  2. Development of HSE Policy statements, standard operating procedures as well as working instructions.

We have developed a framework to safeguard personnel, property and environment, covering:

  1. Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policies and Standard Operating Procedures in line with relevant legislative, regulatory and best industry codes of practice.
  2. Recognition and controlling occupational HSE risks through an array of risk management tools.
  3. Definition of roles and responsibilities through the appointment that focuses on learning and continual improvement.
  4. Development of an effective system approach to incidents and accidents investigations that not only extends to our employees but customers and relevant stakeholders as well.
  5. Evaluation and monitoring of the effectiveness of HSE systems through regular audits and inspections.
  6. Adoption of appropriate incentives to influence good cultural practices.
  7. Reduction of carbon footprint through blending processes with ethanol and the use of low sulphur petroleum fuels.
  8. Membership with the National Industrial Fire Control Association (NIFCA) and establishing effective Emergency Preparedness and Response systems.
  9. Training of employees, clients and relevant stakeholders through induction and awareness programs.
  10. Contractor management policies to ensure that all projects, equipment/machinery installations, repairs and maintenance works carried out adhere to relevant HSE standards.

NOIC implemented an Integrated Business Management System (IBMS), consolidating various aspects of its operations to meet the requirements of multiple ISO Management System Standards, specifically ISO 9001:2015 and ZWS ISO 45001:2018 for Quality Management and Occupational Health and Safety.
