The bulk of our petroleum products, i.e. Petrol, Diesel and Jet A1 are imported into the country via Beira-Feruka-Harare pipeline. This is a multiproduct pipeline.
Before vessels discharge product at Beira Port, Quality Assurance department confirms that the products meet specifications (which are available on request). Independent laboratories at Beira analyse the product quality and send the results for approval prior to discharge and prior to injection into the pipeline.
The quality of product is also checked upon receipt into our depots and before dispatch to the market.
NOIC has two laboratories with well-qualified personnel and apt testing equipment. All testing methods that are used are adapted from the American Society for Testing and Materials (i.e. ASTM methods) and the institute of Petroleum (i.e. IP methods).
We also offer product quality analysis, including sampling, testing and reporting to our customers.
